Meta Replace Facebook — Muqaddas Akhtar

Facebook is a social site, and it should work that way. You connect with friends, family, acquaintances and the like. You create groups of friends and families you’d like to spend time with. You can also create “lists” of all your friends and your “favourite quotes” which can also be shared and linked to your friends’ “favourites” and vice versa. Then you post interesting things you see, things your friends are posting, and funny things your friends and family have done, say or do that day.

Other friends can comment and like, or ignore it. It’s a social site. So, why would you “switch” from that to a Meta site? or will Meta replace facebook? Well, because Facebook’s user’s don’t have the same connection to the site as do users of other Meta sites, specifically MetaWiki, MetaBot and MovableType.

Users of these sites have a connection to their sites. A Meta site isn’t one’s first choice for a user to visit every day. I don’t think that Facebook will ever be replaced, except by Google Buzz. And we have Facebook for that. Maybe we just need to have a new social site in addition to Facebook.

Maybe, as I have suggested before, we should create a Meta site where users can share interesting web pages, links, or files. Or maybe, a Twitter-like site for posts from all users. Something fun, not just another boring site where we have to “share” our “news.”

Yes, we do have Facebook and MovableType and so forth, but they haven’t done much good. It’s all been downhill since my “friends” group was deleted and the “share on Facebook” button disappeared. The bottom line is, it’s become too time-consuming and the rewards are so low.

That Facebook is a social network. A place for people to get to know each other, share with each other. A site that is designed specifically for “friends”, is not a good candidate for replacing MovableType. Nor is it a site designed for “news”. And I certainly don’t want to have yet another boring site in my life.

The highlight we have seen nowadays like:

Maybe Facebook has been rebranded as Meta.

Meta will replace Facebook — Muqaddas Akhtar

Facebook CEO Stamp Zuckerberg on Thursday declared that his company will be presently known as Meta or Meta Stages. The unused stage brings together apps and innovations beneath one modern company brand. But stress not, in case you’re a Facebook client this doesn’t alter anything for you. The same is genuine for Instagram clients and WhatsApp clients.

The websites and apps they utilize will proceed to hold their ancient names. Announcing the modern title, Zuckerberg said, “Today we are seen as a social media company, but in our DNA we are a company that builds innovation to associate people, and the metaverse is the following wilderness a bit like social organizing was when we got started.”

Facebook’s title alter brings a part of questions around whether the social media app would alter for the clients or not. The reply is no. Facebook would stay the way it was for its clients sometime recently Zuckerberg reported Meta. There will be no changes in how the app is utilized. No unused highlights and formats have been reported and the rules to utilize would stay the same.

Essentially, the title alters would not influence the other Facebook-owned apps counting WhatsApp and Instagram. They will not have any “meta” in them.
